I love the proportions of this old Coke refrigerator sitting outside the Vermont Country Store in Rockingham, New Hampshire. My summer camp had one of these chest fridges, filled with ice-cold soda. Do you remember them?

Yes. My uncle/Godfather had a little neighborhood store that he owned with his father-in-law. It was charmingly named "Pop & Andy's." There was on of these coolers at the front window. Filled with cold water and all sorts of pop.
They also had an ice cream freezer with a huge array of goodies: ice cream bars, Popsicles, Creamsicles, drum sticks, some delicious creamy concoction that swirled raspberry and orange about whose name I have no recollection, and my favorite, yum yum, Fudgicles. 5¢. 10¢ for ice cream bars and drum sticks, only to be purchased if you were particularly flush, which in our parts was not often.

Connie, such lovely childhood memories. For us, those ice cream bars were a rare treat, only given on special occasions.
