You don’t have to love football, or Wales, to love a song about defiance and endurance. Yma o Hyd (We're Still Here) has become the motto around our house, courtesy of my Welsh-Canadian husband, whenever someone asks how we've been, and if I learn just a few more words of Welsh -- okay, many more words -- I'll be able to sing along. Until then, please read about the history of this song that springs from one man's strong desire to preserve the language and culture and dignity of his country. Still here, indeed.
