Nice ideas. Many I practice. Recently, I read a novel just because it was named Candelaria. Had to read it. I also often get asked for recommendations by relatives and friends from my ethnic background and I always ask them if they read books by non-Black authors. Similar with another young woman I know who only reads books by LBGQT authors.
WHen I was in HS and had just discovered Black literature, I went on a tear where that's all I read but, since this, I am open to reading most things although I don't like horror in general.
Thanks for this list.
